Between Land and the Sea (2025) Monoprint by Adam Grose MA PGCE

This is a gel print monotype. The painting is in response to travelling around the landscape and seascape in Cornwall, Dorset, Devon and Somerset. The print was created through many layers of acrylic paint, built upon one another and stripped away in some areas, before adding another thin layer of acrylic paint to the image, before deciding when to pull the image from the gel plate.

It gives the appearance of looking at a landscape during different times of the day, bringing together various elements of the day and times, something seen as one sits and watched the evolving landscape as the day passes, or through the areas we see as we are passing through or by.
