The motif comes from my close surroundings which offer a lot for an observer to discover. It is the town of Besigheim, whose history goes back to Roman times. The pictures show the town from the opposite bank of the river Enz as the sun sets. The play of light on the houses and their reflections in the river fascinated me so much that I decided to capture these impressions in a painting. Of course, this is studio work based on the photo I took on location, the time until sunset was short and the task challenging.
