Original artwork description
This is a kitchen and homestore on Western Road in Brighton. I was passing by one day and was suddenly struck by the colour juxtaposition of the magenta plastic holders against the green of the paintwork and thought that it would make a nice painting. There is an influence of Edward Hopper and contemporary urban painters like Ben McLaughlin.
Materials used:
Oil on mdf board, gessoed on both sides.
