Benaras is also called Varanasi or Kashi. It is one of the oldest cities of the world which has been continuously inhabited. It has more than a three thousand year history. It is on the river Ganges. It is considered to be one of the sacred cities of India and occupies an important place in the religious geography of the country.

The painting is signed on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Please note that the colors of the original painting may slightly vary from what they appear here, although best efforts are made to capture the colors as close to the original, as possible.

The painting is on stretched canvas. For the purpose of shipping, the canvas would be taken off its stretcher bars and securely packed rolled in a tube.

Import duty/taxes, as applicable, have to be borne by the buyer. They are not included in the price or shipping cost.
