This artwork was born from my personal impression of the Halkidiki peninsula in Greece - a place that impresses with its natural power and tranquility at the same time. On that day, clouds were rapidly gathering over the sea, and I felt nature freezing in anticipation of the storm. I wanted to convey this moment - tense, but surprisingly beautiful.
Only watercolor, with its transparency and unpredictability, can express the fragility of light, the movement of the clouds and the wet depth of the approaching rain.
Small sailboats on the horizon - as a reminder of a person, his vulnerability and courage in the face of the elements. This work for me is not only a landscape, but also an internal state: peace before a surge, silence in front of a thunderstorm.
