Original title: Beach at low tide, morning glow

Landscape of Brittany, France

In this painting, I sought to capture the vibrant light of the Finistère coast on a beautiful summer day. The shimmering sea beneath the blue sky dotted with clouds, the ceaseless motion of the waves, the damp sand streaked with water’s reflections—all make the dazzling presence of the sea almost tangible.

The sturdy rocks frame the scene like silent guardians of this meeting between land and water.

The white-finished edges of the canvas allow for frameless hanging if you prefer.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
