Growing up in the Arctic, the artist developed a profound respect for the delicate balance of ecosystems where survival depends on sensitivity to the environment. This background shapes her collection "SAGOSKOGEN" (Fairy Tale Forest), which translates the mystical narratives of the Swedish woods into a visual language of wonder. Through her macro photography, Etuvgi invites viewers to shift from a human-centered worldview to one that appreciates the quiet strength and enchanting beauty of often-overlooked beings like mosses and lichens.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Inna Etuvgi is a Swedish-Chukchi artist whose work defines the concept of Cybernetic Animism. An Arte Laguna Prize finalist and a recipient of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee grant, her photography explores the "hidden souls" of nature, bridging the gap between biological fragility and technical precision.
