Indie Ru is a two-time laureate of the International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Arts. She has exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art.
She runs a YouTube channel, Indie Ru, with 100K subscribers, where she shares the creative process behind her abstract works.

This extra-large 3D abstract painting takes its imagery from BDSM and fetish culture. A large gold circle resembling a collar sits against a heavily textured black surface. Rings, studs, spikes, and metal fittings are clustered around it.
The raised gold details reflect the light, while the black background absorbs it. This contrast brings out the relief and gives the painting a strong physical presence.
No body is shown. Black, gold, and fetish hardware convey restraint, control, and desire without turning the work into a literal scene. The painting remains abstract, but its BDSM character is unmistakable.
