The Baths of Caracalla (Terme di Caracalla) were Rome's second largest city baths, one of the seven wonders of Rome, constructed around AD212 and operational for 300 years.
Although in ruins today, much restoration work has been done and I could help but capture a small section of the architecture in oil paints.
It is painted on a box canvas, and all four edges continue the design and colour, meaning it can be hung directly on a wall without need for an additional frame.
