Just finished this NEW artwork that has been a JOY to do! It will all be added to our Music Inspired Art Collection on our sites. It will also be added to our environmental collection which is called, ( Saving the Sails.. A New Creation). This one is inspired by my love of music! I played the trumpet all through school but I always wished I had chosen the Saxophone, but being an Army brat Saxophones were too expensive for our family so I had to fall back and regroup! You military families know what I am saying. I started the artwork and wanted to put the music notes to a song all over the artwork, but I had to pic a cool song. Being old school in the days of Soul music and Rock... I wanted something that was fresh but had the Old School vibe like may favorite James Brown.. and The Temptations, Earth, Wind & Fire, Barry White, and so on and so on. My favorite singer and song that fits ALL That is Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. When I looked for a cover of that song by a Sax... I found this coolest saxophone group called, The Cannonball Band. WOW! They rocked that song! You should check them out!

NOTE about this canvas: As you can see these sections of sailboat sail canvas are very rustic. They are unraveled on the edges and some slightly wrinkled... like a piece of a sail found on the beach. They are also seldom perfectly square due to the characteristic of its ability to stretch with the wind. For me this just adds to the essence that this is indeed a piece of sailboat sail canvas... perhaps from a lost ship at sea! Let your imagination soar with this one! I feel it would look great hung on a wall with tacks, or matching colored push pins. Some of my clients hot glue a dowel rod to the top on the backside and hang it by nautical rope or string. YOU can even participate in the creation of this artwork by unraveling it more on the edges if you want to make it look more distressed. These artworks are for the special GREEN-minded people who are like me in that they hate to discard things that can be repurposed. Especially into works of Art.
