AWAKENINGS II

A green veil lies over my eyes,
a symbol of a dark and sleepy time.
But above my head, among flowers and white roses,
a nest rises with sincere promises.
Two white birds are messengers,
ready to sing of true awakenings.
That silence is waiting, not oblivion,
a new dawn for my heart.
