Original artwork description
Hi, this is a cityscape of the Strand in London just near the entrance to the Savoy hotel. I was taking snaps after a trip to London and the evening light was just perfect. London is great at this time of year, everything has a golden tinge.
I will be attempting more of these tableaux in the next few weeks; this work will appear at the parallax artfair in Chelsea, 24th to 25th October.
The painting is stretched on a thick wooden box frame.
Note that it was really difficult to capture the colours in the photo- I will be adding more in different light in due course.
