Inside an autumnal dream we find ourselves surrounded by golden, warming light. With a dreamlike feel. Distant Northumberland hills are gently illuminated. A body of water shines in the centre of the piece. Set in the beautiful Cheviots, painted from imagination, yet with this beautiful place in mind. One of the loveliest times to paint this place, as the colours of summer and autumnal gold fills the air. Some of the flowers have a textural quality, offering a stunning dimension to the painting.
