This work transports us to the heart of the Haute-Loire region, to the banks of the Loire river while it is still young and wild, a setting I have made one of my favorite subjects. Tirelessly, I return to these places to capture the river's metamorphoses.

Here, the landscape is captured at the height of autumn. The grazing light gilds the bushes and the riverside vegetation, creating a vibrant contrast with the bluish waters flowing briskly over a bed of stones. I draw my inspiration from the familiarity of this rugged and authentic land, seeking to convey not only the geography of the place, with its characteristic hills in the background, but above all the peaceful and timeless soul of these valleys that I passionately explore.

The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows it to be hung without a frame, should you wish.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
