Original artwork description
My new abstract art explores the theme of networks. In this series, I use painted networks to create a single result from its many individual lines. I use a network of random lines that all join together to create an unexpected result, or in my case, a surprise image. Like reading a Rorschach inkblot, my subconscious offers up a recognizable shape or scene from the materializing network. In this process, my painting, “Autumn Fields And Purple Lake,” evolved. Displayed at my solo exhibit, “Networks,” at CornerStone Art Gallery, Indiana, U.S., 2013. These fall colors are enhanced by the use of purple paint on the sides of the canvas, so that it can be hung without a frame. Wired and ready to hang.
