This artwork is a detailed botanical portrayal of a chrysanthemum — a flower that, for me, symbolizes inner resilience and quiet emotional depth. I was drawn to its complex, curling petals, which seem to unfold like layers of memory and experience.
Working with soft yet expressive shades of burgundy, cream, and muted pink, I aimed to capture both the fragility and strength inherent in this bloom. Each petal was painted with meticulous attention to form and texture, inviting the viewer to explore the organic rhythm and movement within the composition.
Through this piece, I wanted to highlight the beauty of natural imperfection — the way a flower can be simultaneously delicate and powerful. It is a meditation on life, change, and the silent stories carried by nature.
