As Autumn approaches we're mostly aware of the changing colour of the trees, but hedgerows can be equally stunning. In this piece I chose to study a close up of some red brambles in a thicket, painting loosely to capture the tangle of plants and using vivid colours to convey the vibrancy of the autumn colours.
