Original artwork description
An early painting of our back garden, before we put grass down. The heat and the dust have informed this quite monotone painting. Foliage and flowers have sprung forth from the previous autumn’s planting and I have suggested their vigour as the first plants to enjoy the new topsoil in the raised beds. Otherwise I had been practicing low chrome techniques, always having a little of all colours in each stroke to create harmony. Our new garden here, after all the renovations, looks promising if dusty.
