This abstract painting is a dance between light green, deep violet and complex trichromatic reds, hanging over deep blues and greys. The dynamic contrast between the left and right of the piece and the more active and passive areas of colour reflect the myth of Atalanta Fugiens. The light green and permanent violet is constantly moving off and away from the active reds. The little gesture of green in the lower right creates a sense of something turning and streaming away, leaving the self-involved reds to themselves!
