Original artwork description:

Dura-Lar is billed as "the acetate alternative" -- what this means is that it is a sealed, plastic paper surface designed specifically for accepting paint and it is archival. It also means that the paint (in this case acrylic) dries on the surface and is highly manipulative. I've brushed, poured, breed, crippled and combed this work to achieve the high-chroma and complex patterns that suit my vision. This work is matted and professionally framed with non-glare glass. The frame is wood, painted black (simple), and the white mat is "black core" (meaning a small edge at the bevel is shown black which enhances the image just slightly).

Materials used:

acrylic paint, acrylic medium, on Dura-Lar
