Original artwork description
Astraea is the Greek Goddess of justice, purity and precision. Here I have represented her resting on a Greek Corinthean pedistal. Astraea is presented by the Greeks as the constellation Virgo. You can see Virgo projected on the wall behind the goddess.
ASTRAEA is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using acrylic paint and India ink. The abandoned room background has been digitally reproduced and laminated to the 4 mil archival grade mylar and then the portrait and pedistal was painted over the background. There will only be one original. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be shipped in a tube. The artwork is very easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell and also I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board. See the “me at work” section for instructions on how to mount artwork on a board.
