AS No. 25 — Forest After Sunset (2026) Original Oil Painting by Daria Zavadenko
43.5 x 43.5 x 2cm (framed) / 40 x 40cm (actual image size)
£313.42
Original artwork description
Part of an ongoing series exploring the relationship between horizon, atmosphere, and landscape space.
This original oil painting is built through layers of deep blue green and muted earth tones, allowing warmth to emerge gradually from within the surface. Vertical passages evoke the quiet rhythm of woodland while resisting literal description. Light appears as a memory rather than an observable event, dissolving form into atmosphere and leaving only traces of space, color, and movement.
Rather than representing a particular location, the painting explores how landscape is transformed by memory and perception. Rich impasto textures encourage sustained observation, revealing new relationships between darkness, light, and color over time.
Part of the Atmospheric Studies series.
