In Artemis/Diana, I explored the timeless archetype of the goddess of the hunt, representing strength, independence, and a profound connection to nature. Drawing on mythology and its symbolic power, I wanted to reimagine Artemis (or Diana) through a contemporary lens, blending abstract forms with recognizable elements to reflect her duality—fierce protector and serene guardian.

The composition is defined by geometric shapes and layered textures, with curves and sharp angles creating a sense of tension and balance. The impasto technique was central to this piece, allowing me to build a surface that feels alive, much like the natural world Artemis embodies. Rich earth tones and contrasting blues symbolize her connection to the land and sky, grounding the piece in both myth and materiality.
