Original artwork description:

This piece is my interpretation of a photograph by Alfred Cheney Johnston, depicting the dancer and actress Jean Ackerman—celebrated in her time as “The World’s Most Beautiful Brunette.” I was inspired by Tamara de Lempicka’s bold, stylised aesthetic and Art Deco aesthetic when I painted this portrait.
The subject wears a luminous pearl necklace and a boldly striped headscarf that drapes over her shoulder, contributing to the symmetry and flow of the composition. I’ve used a deep green background to enhance the warmth of her clothing and skin tone. Through clean lines and simplified forms, this portrait aims to merge photographic glamour with the painterly poise of early modernism.

I'll send this painting in a reinforced envelope with a tracking number

Painted on acid-free 100% cotton watercolor paper with professional quality watercolor paints, ensuring the colors do not fade over time.
