Original artwork description:

This painting started with the colour combination in mind - I love purple and green together and wanted to put something together with these hues. There is a hierarchy in the greens, the most intense green being the apple in the foreground all the way to the apple in the background. There is a similar hierarchy among the purples too, so that the eye of the viewer moves around seamlessly around the whole composition.

I painted this over a couple of sessions from life in my studio. The brushwork is bold and expressive, bringing everything to life.

I have framed it in a simple modern black wooden frame. I like the simplicity of the frame because it doesn’t take the focus away from the painting. It comes ready to hang and will make a great gift for yourself or someone else. If you would like to choose your own frame instead, just let me know and I will ship the painting unframed.
