Original artwork description
100cm x 100cm x 3.7cm.
Acrylics canvas.
In this piece, I try to capture the pink hue of a a stormy sky at sunset.
The pastel shades of the evening sky, soften the horizon of this seascape beautifully.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the skies and the many changes the light can make to the atmosphere of a painting - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
I study the skies and land over the Cheshire plain, close to my home and also the coastal skies over Anglesey, North Wales.
