Architecture Blue Meets Orange
Diptych, Square Collection

Architecture Blue Meets Orange is a diptych from the Square Collection ; a modular installation of 46 paintings created in 2020 and exhibited as an evolving spatial composition. Each painting in the series shares the same dimensions (20 x 20 cm) and color system, but their arrangement was never fixed: panels shifted positions and orientations throughout the month-long show, reflecting a constant negotiation between color, light, and space.

This diptych isolates a chromatic dialogue between blue and orange, using hard-edge geometry to evoke architectural tension and balance. The composition is intentionally open ; both panels can be rotated or reconfigured, inviting the viewer to engage with spatial rhythm and perception.

Influenced by the color theories of Goethe, Albers, Newton, and Pastoureau, the work explores how pigments behave across surface and edge. Techniques include halation, complementary contrast, triadic balance, and monochrome depth. All within a strict square format that acts as a controlled field of experimentation.

Architecture Blue Meets Orange is part of an ongoing investigation into color, structure, and the emotional resonance of minimal forms. It offers both a visual study and a quiet point of view.
