Original artwork description
The Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel was commissioned by Napoleon Bonaparte I, and can be found between The Louvre museum and the Tuileries Garden. It sat as a gateway to the Tuileries Palace before the palace was destroyed by a fire (started by communards in 1871).
