Original artwork description:

Part of the series of "Garden" paintings, this work represents a departure from the themes and colors used in my art during the years I lived at the beach. The structured compositions dictated by the ocean horizon give way to a more organic, free form approach. Pastels and washed out neutrals of the sky and sand are replaced with vibrant greens and floral colors. This series continues to explore the garden as it reflects growth and the cycles of nature.

Materials used:

acrylic paint, paper, oil pastel, pencil
