Original artwork description
This painting captures one of the apple trees in my garden at my summer house in Tetritskaro, about an hour’s drive from Tbilisi. I return to this place almost every weekend throughout the year, and the garden has become an endless source of inspiration.
Apple trees are my primary subject there. Their twisting, expressive trunks feel almost graphic in structure, while their branches create a natural rhythm across the canvas. In spring, when they burst into blossom, they transform completely—light, color, and movement seem to dissolve their solid forms into something fleeting and alive.
I paint these trees every year, but each time feels different. This work is not just about a tree in bloom, but about the quiet familiarity of a place I return to again and again, observing how it changes with the seasons and with my own perception.
