Apple Trees and Blue Sky
This is my second painting after walking the Camino de Santiago,
which I completed in September 2025.
I chose the Northern Way - an 830-kilometer route that took me 35 days to finish.
Throughout the journey, I was surrounded by ever-changing landscapes, forests, and gardens.
The north of Spain is full of apple trees, one of my favorite trees. I’ve already used them in my earlier works.
After finishing the Camino, I found myself in a long period of stillness that lasted almost a month. It was an unexpected state.
At some point, I gathered my strength and decided it was time to return to life.
My first new work was an apple tree and now this is my second.
While painting them, I recalled my journey,
I thanked the world for its beauty, and I thanked myself for having the courage to embark on such an adventure.
