This September, I walked the Northern Way of the Camino de Santiago — 850 kilometers in 35 days. Throughout the journey, I was surrounded by ever-changing landscapes, forests, and gardens.
The north of Spain is full of apple trees — one of my favorite trees. I’ve already used them in my earlier works.
After finishing the Camino, I found myself in a long period of stillness that lasted almost a month. It was an unexpected state.
At some point, I gathered my strength and decided it was time to return to life.
And so, my first new painting was this apple tree.
While painting it, I recalled my journey — I thanked the world for its beauty, and I thanked myself for having the courage to embark on such an adventure.
My landscapes become gentle visual meditations — soft, immersive spaces where the mind can rest.
