“Quince on Violet Cloth” is an atmospheric watercolor still life where light, texture, and color gently collide. I painted this piece from life, focusing on the warm, golden glow of the quince against the deep, cool folds of violet fabric. The contrast between the silky background and the solid, almost sculptural fruit creates a quiet tension and a sense of presence.
I explore the fragility and beauty of ordinary botanical forms through layered washes, soft transitions, and precise detailing. For me, this work is about slowing down, observing the subtle rhythms of nature, and capturing a moment that feels intimate and timeless.”
