Original artwork description:

Painted on location en plein air. Plus worked on it back at the studio.

Annalong cornmill was built in the early 1800s and operated until the 1960s, before closing it was one of the last working watermills in Northern Ireland.

It used to be a favourite spot for painters with the back drop of the Mourne Mountains behind the mill. Sadly the new build properties on the right hand side rather spoils the view. However, one of advantages of painting over photography is that one can simply just edit out eyesores.

Materials used:

Acrylics
