Angels are typically thought of as spiritual entities to bridge the gap between humanity and a higher force. They guide us, protect us, and watch over us. We have come to imagine them as human in appearance but with bird-like wings and a divine light forever cast upon them. This piece is inspired by the idea that angels can be imagined in many different forms. An structure of wires, rods and machine cogs contrast with the intricate pattern of lace wings to give a modern take on a centuries-old concept.
