I spotted these passing a flower shop in Oxford; the colours were irresistible. Very delicate flowers, on gently twisting stems. The label said they were from Cornwall, next to some smaller ones from Devon. I wondered why they favour the south west . . . Anyway, I trimmed them, dropped them in this small glass vase and placed them straight into a shaft of summer sunlight.
