Anemone (2016)Watercolour

This is a large scale watercolor done on heavy rag paper. I was obsessed with my perennial garden at the time this was painted. I love how vividly the watercolor medium captures the delicate colors of the anemone. Watercolor is a medium where one can be spontaneous and exacting at the same time.
I currently have it matted and displayed in a custom maple frame. It has a uv picture acrylic panel over it.
