In India, small temples can be seen everywhere - under a tree, on the side of a road, next to a railway station, in the middle of a marketplace, near a pond or lake or just about anywhere. Across the country, one comes across these temples, where devotees offer prayers and worship their deities. These temples have been around in every village, town and city, since time immemorial.
This is the painting of an ancient Ganesha temple under a tree.
