For many years the participants at Frederic Bazille’s “Family Reunion” seemed to be waiting for something to happen. I was convinced that nothing less than William S. Hart on a ‘penny-farthing’ bicycle would satisfy their expectations.
The Impressionist artist Frederic Bazille (1841 - 1870) painted the “Family Reunion” in 1867.
William S. Hart (1864 - 1946) was one of the first ‘Cowboy’ silent film-stars of Hollywood.
