Original artwork description:

Gesso primed Oil on Panel 'An impression of memory.'

'I remember a time when the children of Artane ate, slept talked and drank Rocky. For many of us our world was that and that alone.
This painting remembers The Ambassador, the precious green pound note spent in the littler on sweets, the big orange 20B bus into town, the best and hardest deadener amongst friends who proved they too could hit as hard as Rocky. The full theatre shaking with the stomping of feet, the chant of our boxing heroes name, the rebel 12 year olds smoking in the back row,the girls in front spontaneously shouting "Rocky the looper!' boys mock fighting on stage, The red velvet curtain shifting slightly, quietening the crowd, the anticipation. With our beating hearts and throbbing arms reminding us of the life surging through our veins. ....
