The title of this work comes from a book about the Italian fresco artist Tiepolo by Roberto Calasso. It was the starting point and inspiration for this work. The abstract takes signatures from land, sea and sky but is an abstract. The pink ground is designed to give the work a jubilant atmosphere; the whole work embodies an explosion of joy.
