While creating this painting, I envisioned a quiet evening feast embraced by flowers and lantern light. The hanging lanterns breathe softly, illuminating the glasses and desserts on the table, as well as the unspoken emotions of the garden. I intentionally left the chairs unoccupied, allowing them to serve as an invitation—inviting the viewer to step into this warm, intimate moment where nature, light, and everyday life intertwine.
I used loose, rhythmic brushstrokes to build layered foliage, keeping the background lively and fluid. The lanterns and tabletop were rendered with thicker paint and warmer tones, forming the visual heart of the composition. Through contrasts of warm and cool colors and scattered flecks of paint, I enhanced the sense of nighttime air, allowing the light to seem as if it gently floats within the scene.
