The complete title for this new Original One of a Kind 24x12 acrylic artwork is "An Afternoon Nap with Close Friends!" This artwork has a lot of hidden meanings in this serene painting of an old man taking a nap on a bench. He had been reading when he drifts off into a restful sleep. Gathered around him are his close friends that visit with I'm everyday he comes there to read. A Mallard duck and her ducklings look his way as one of the youngsters climbs up on the bank for a closer look. A Rabbit and squirrel sit close by munching on natures offerings. A chipmunk has taken its seat next to him as a Goldfinch is perched on the back of the bench. A hummingbird floats in front of his face as bees swirl around his book. And on his shoes rests a Monarch butterfly. I have purposely hidden an odd juxtaposition in this artwork that hints to the real story of this painting for me.
It is inspired by a real event in my life... but what do you see?

This artwork is sold UNFRAMED but it is painted on the sides so you can hang it UNFRAMED if you wish. I have also included a pic of it in a barn wood frame for your consideration should you decide to have it framed by your framer. I think the barn wood frame looks awesome on this artwork because it matches the bench in the painting.
