Original artwork description
I painted an old rag bear imagining it to be my own.
I would like to have a stuffed teddy bear kept since my childhood and I imagined it like this, of worn-out fabric , with sweet eyes, a reassuring smile and the patches that over the years my mother and grandmothers applied with so much love so that the lifelong friend could accompany me and give me the security that I still do not have.
The support for this work is a thick canvas on which I spread several acrylic colors with a palette knife to create a very special background, traced the outline of the painting with white chalk and then began painting with oil colors.
I use oil colors by overlaying many thin layers of appropriately thinned color to create the effects I desire.
Once perfectly dry, I finished the surface with a final coat of varnish to make it UV resistant.
The work does not have a frame but is ready to hang.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Shipments outside the EU must wait for permission from the Ministry of Culture, which may involve a delay of a few days.
