Original artwork description
A pulsating dialogue between two of the most recognizable American images: the icon of beauty and sexuality, Marilyn Monroe, and New York's Statue of Liberty.
This interplay of shapes and colors, each stripe with its own character, gives the painting a dynamic and contemporary feel.
The abstract portrait of the legendary actress appears in a kaleidoscope of hues: from deep blue and fresh green to radiant gold and warm red tones, interspersed with vibrant coral and silvery gray. These colors convey the multifaceted nature of her image, its brightness and mystery.
At the same time, other stripes depict New York City – a city full of life and hope. Delicate blue, lilac, red, pink, and yellow hues create a sense of airiness and dreaminess, while the majestic Statue of Liberty rises like a beacon.
The contrast between rich and pastel tones, between abstraction and recognizable images, gives the painting a special depth and appeal.
