Original artwork description
Original mixed media paper and wood colage. A Vintage 1950's American Airlines pictoral map deconstucted and reassembled into a 3d mixed media collage. This rare illustrated vintage map of the United States which arrived in tatters so was a challenge to save and give it a whole new life.
Bonded to birch wood and laser cut into 100 3cm dots. Each dot is then mounted to create a 3D geometric artwork.
Comprising of 324 map dots.
The piece comes ready framed in this white box frame with a museum quality UV perspex glaze to protect the artwork from fade.
