I have always believed that art should be a heartbeat on a wall. When I painted 'A Dream of Manderley,' I wanted to capture that electric, sun-drenched surge of energy you feel when you throw open the shutters on the first day of summer. It is the moment the world rushes in; the vivid, unapologetic bloom of the garden colliding with the infinite, sapphire power of the sea.
As an artist, I don’t paint in whispers; I paint in movements. I used bold, brush strokes and textures and a high-contrast palette to ensure the flowers don’t just sit on the canvas, but feel as though they are reaching for the light. I am fascinated by the 'Manderley' of the imagination; not as a passionate memory, but as a living, breathing destination where the colors are sharper and the air is charged with salt and soul.
