Artist's description:

Women the world over still find themselves born into a life of inequality, exploitation and persecution. This discrimination can deny them an education at one extreme and equal status with men at the other: Much of the blame for this can be levelled at the concept of 'original sin', which through many of the major organised religions has woven itself into societies and legal systems.

This painting portrays a 'Universal Eve', metaphorically chained from birth and treated as no more than a chattel; the fabled apple sits rotting in front of her, uneaten.

Placed in the top three in the 'Digital Art' category of the Fine Art America Competition, 'The Art Of Social Commentary'.

This is an original free-hand painting carried out on a Wacom graphics tablet.

Supplied with frame and wall hangers and full instructions - frame hanger requires screwing into frame.

Materials used:

Timber, canvas, UV resistant inks.
