Original artwork description
“Aligned Stillness” is an original abstract diptych, consisting of two acrylic paintings on canvas, each measuring 50 × 70 cm, stretched on wooden frames and ready to hang.
I created this diptych as a dialogue between two closely connected surfaces. While working on the first canvas, I allowed the paint to move freely, building soft transitions and layered depth. The second canvas continues this movement, slightly shifting the balance — as if the same moment is viewed from two perspectives.
The palette is calm and contemporary, built around misty blue, soft grey, deep slate, and charcoal tones, enriched with subtle metallic silver accents. Fine linear elements run through both panels, catching the light and creating delicate reflections and soft glimmers that change depending on the angle and time of day. These metallic details add quiet sophistication without overpowering the composition.
I worked with acrylic paint in multiple layers, combining wide brushwork, gentle scraping, controlled drips, and precise lines to achieve texture, depth, and visual rhythm. The surface feels alive yet restrained — elegant rather than expressive.
This diptych is about balance and continuity. Together, the two panels create a sense of openness and clarity, making the space feel more expansive and composed.
