I work with images in different emotional states, using bright colors and descriptive titles. The "Portraits" series is based on images from literature, life and photographs. I like mysterious faces that leave a sense of uniqueness. It is important for me to show different people, their emotions and characters. The main prototype of my lyrical heroes is Holden from J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye." The portraits are done with oil pastels on abrasive paper. I use sandpaper from a hardware store because of its format and texture.
